Philanthropy: Sharsheret & Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation

"At Alpha Epsilon Phi at the University of Maryland we support two philanthropies: Sharsheret and The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation (EGPAF). Sharsheret raises money and spreads awareness for women suffering from breast cancer and ovarian cancer. Each year we hold our annual Cupcake Wars to raise money for this charity through a cupcake decorating competition, selling raffles, pop-up shops, and more! The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation raises money to stop the spread of AIDS in children, especially those in third world countries. We also help to spread awareness about this organization because many do not realize how dire this issue still is. Each year we also host our Wingman event which consists of a wing eating competition, raffles, and shopping which all raises money for EGPAF!"
